It also helps control water loss due to its Grahi (absorbent) and Kashaya (astringent) properties. The Kashaya (astringent) property of Kutajarishta also helps in dysentery by reducing the inflammation of the intestine. This property is also helpful to control bleeding caused by dysentery and IBS.
